Celebrating a Wonderful Autumn Term

Dear Parents and Carers

We come to the end of the Autumn Term and I write with huge amounts of pride at what the children have achieved this year. They have really taken a step up in terms of showing their CROWN (Curiosity, Resilience, Open-Mindedness, Wow-Improver and No-limits) values and their achievements across the curriculum have been fantastic.

Our Headteacher Award assembly today was a true celebration of the exceptional achievements from some stand-out children this term. My enormous thanks to all of the staff, governors, parents and carers in supporting our children to achieve such heights this term.

The children return to school on Wednesday 3rd January and we look forward to welcoming them back after a restful and exciting break.

Support from the whole school Community

Thank you to all members of the school community who have been overwhelmingly supportive of Kingsham Primary School this year. From positive posts on our Instagram and Facebook pages to positive comments to me on the gate and emails of support that we have received. It is an enormous boost to the staff to receive your positive feedback and we are enormously grateful for the time that people have taken to share it with us.

This was received from the Rotary Club about our choir who sang Christmas Carols at the Cross:

“… the choir performance which was quite excellent. You can be very proud of your students - their enthusiasm and discipline was outstanding.

So thanks for coming to the cross and giving such an entertaining show.

Best Wishes and have a 'Happy Christmas'.”

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported on a school trip, helped us walk to and from swimming, supported with our sports events and come into school to support with reading and other areas of learning. It is enormously appreciated. If you would like to volunteer to help support learning in the classroom, please speak to myself or Mr Williams – we would love to have you.

Kingsham PTA – Christmas Fair

A huge thank you to the Kingsham PTA for organising our Christmas Fair. I don’t remember seeing our hall so full of families! It was a great event and raised a great amount for the school. It takes a huge amount of effort and time that the PTA give up – we are extremely grateful.

Please let us know if you would like to be more involved with the Kingsham PTA.

Fundraising

Thank you to everyone who took the time to donate on line to Children in Need and Save the Children when we were raising money this term. We raised:

  • £199 for Children in Need
  • £96 for Save the Children

Year 6 Leavers Hoodies

The design has been approved for the Year 6 hoodies and parents and carers have had the opportunity to try on the sizes. We will be writing to Year 6 straight after Christmas so that you can order and pay for your hoodies.

Clubs

We will send out a list of the Spring Term Clubs for you to sign-up to at the beginning of term.

If you wish to book into Breakfast or After School Club for next term, you can do that via the Arbor App in the same way as usual. Bookings can be made from now.

Wishing the whole school community a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Mr Lee Dallinger
