Please contact the school if you would like any more information about the proposed changes

West Sussex County Council are consulting on some changes to some of the catchment areas in Chichester for children starting school in September 2022.

The proposals are intended to introduce single catchment areas to better reflect the current educational landscape as well as to expand some catchments. Some of those changes affect Kingsham Primary School and we have outlined them below:

The area outlined in red is the existing catchment area for Kingsham, with the area to the south of the A27 currently being a shared catchment area. Under this consultation:

  • the area south of the blue line would become solely part of Birdham Primary School's catchment.
  • the area to the west of the purple line would become solely part of Lancastrian Infant School's catchment.
  • the area south of the green line would become solely part of North Mundham Primary School's catchment
  • the area between the purple and green line would become solely part of Kingsham Primary School's catchment
  • the area north of the green line would remain Kingsham Primary School's catchment.

In addition:

The area outlined in red was previously the catchment area for Rumboldswhyke Infant School. As part of this consultation, Rumboldswhyke would not have a catchment area and the area in the map above would be shared between Kingsham Primary School (west of the blue line) and Portfield Primary Academy (east of the blue line).
