Are you passionate about helping children to succeed?

Do you have experience of supporting groups of children to make accelerated progress?

Do you relish the satisfaction of seeing groups of children achieve?

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen in our school to support the recovery programme and ensure accelerated progress for our pupils. If successful, you will work with children across the school to address the gaps in learning identified by the teacher. These will be timetabled intervention slots which will allow you regular sessions with the small groups of children to ensure the gaps are addressed and that the children can prove that they are able to apply their learning. You will have the responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing the sessions with the support and guidance of the class teachers and the school’s leadership team.

This role is available to qualified teachers or teaching assistants with experience and a strong track record of raising children’s attainment through small or larger group work.

We will ensure that you can utilise your skills and experience to support the children’s learning while also accessing a range of expertise from across the school and The University of Chichester Academy Trust. Your new training will allow you to develop those already strong parts of your practice as well as ensure that you gain expertise with new areas of your practice too.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of effective strategies that underpin children’s progress at primary school level, you will be a good communicator, with the ability to adapt to the audience.  With a positive and flexible approach, and the presence to inspire confidence and trust, we encourage individuals with an enthusiasm to support children’s resilience in their learning to apply.

As part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust you will have access to additional training opportunities and benefits.  You will find that each academy has a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where all staff feel valued.

The school reserves the right to close the application process early should we receive sufficient interest.
