Kingsham Primary School

What an amazing half term at Kingsham!

Previous StoryNext Story

So many successes to celebrate at Kingsham Primary School!

In September, children were welcomed back to Kingsham and to their new classes. Throughout this half-term, we are extremely proud of all the children for their fantastic efforts with their learning, making the most of all the opportunities on offer and showing our school’s CROWN values. Here are a few of our favourite moments this half-term that we would like to celebrate with you.

Reading at Kingsham Primary School

This half-term, three fantastic authors – Steven Lenton, Guy Bass and Ally Sherrick - visited our school and met the children.

We are so proud to have read a grand total of:

11,090,770 words

School visitors

Not only have we been learning brilliantly this term, we have also worked and supported our local community. During this half-term, the pupils and staff were visited by Sarah Sharp, Green Party County Councillor for Chichester South, and Gillian Keegan, MP for Chichester. Sarah was very impressed with our allotment and vision for our Eco-School.

Watch Gillian Keegan's video below where she talks about the school:

One Tree Day and One Run

We loved coming together as a whole school for One Tree Day and One Run. On this day, pupils wore green, donated money towards a charity supporting sustainability and looking after our environment. We also joined other schools around the globe to run altogether to bring everybody together.

Our residential – Kingswood!

Our Year 6 pupils loved visiting Kingswood at the beginning of this term. It was an opportunity to challenge themselves and take part in adventurous activities!

Trips

We are also extremely proud to provide children with a wide range of opportunities this year including amazing school visits.

Year 1 and 2 went to Marwell Zoo

Year 3 and 4 enjoyed two trips: Fishbourne Roman Palace and Dell Quay

Year 5 and 6 visited Weald and Downland Museum

Clubs

We have such a wonderful range of extracurricular clubs. This includes our gardening, sports and music! Thank you to the children, staff and any volunteers for making these so successful!

Enjoy your restful half-term, and we look forward to another successful half-term on Monday 1st November!

Thank you everyone!
