A visit to Kingsham from @GillianKeegan

On Friday, Gillian Keegan MP visited Kingsham Primary School. As you will see from the photos below, four of our Year 5 children gave Gillian Keegan a guided tour of the school. She was interested to see the children learning and was impressed at how well the children had settled into the new academic year.

The children were so enthusiastic about the school, their learning and the environment and were so keen to share their school with our visitor.

In particular, the children were keen to show Gillian Keegan the work that Mrs Tarrant and The Green Team have done. She had seen the article in the Chichester Observer about the work they had done and was keen to recognise their efforts with a special 'Green Hero Award'. Following a question and answer session in the hall, she presented our Green Team with a certificate.

We were incredibly proud of the children during the question and answer session with Year 5. They posed some fantastically thoughtful questions such as:

  • "Why did you decide to become an MP?"
  • "Is it a pressurised job being an MP?"
  • "Do you always agree with Boris Johnson?"
  • "What is your favourite drink?"

We are very grateful to Gillian Keegan for her visit and for visiting our school.
